How to locate a cellular tower based on Cell ID?

 

 

1. You need to have the following four parameters to be able to proceed:

a. MCC or Mobile Country Code

i. Australia      505

b. MNC or Mobile Network Code

i. Telstra      01

ii. Optus       02

iii. Vodafone  03

c. LAC and Cell ID. These two values are located on the Web Management Status page of your 4g router or 5g router. They need to be in decimal format. For example, the values in the screenshot below are in hexadecimal and need to be converted into decimal. You can use an online converter:
